The agreement
These terms are the agreement between you and Autocue for the use of Autocue at https://autocue.chat and the application at https://app.autocue.chat/. Using the service means accepting them. If you do not, do not use it.
What Autocue is
Autocue transcribes a conversation as it happens and suggests what you could say next. It is an aid to a person who is speaking, not a person who speaks. The suggestions come from language models, they are sometimes wrong, and they are yours to check before you say them out loud. Nothing here is career, legal, financial or immigration advice, and no outcome — an interview, an offer, a visa — is promised.
Your account
You need an account to use the paid service, and you must be at least 16 and legally able to enter into this agreement. Keep your sign-in secure; anything done through your account is treated as done by you. One account is for one person — sharing it, or reselling access, is not permitted.
Acceptable use
Do not use Autocue to break the law, to impersonate somebody, to record a conversation you have no right to record, or to sit an examination, certification or assessment whose rules forbid outside assistance. Do not attempt to extract the underlying models, resell the model access we pay for, or drive the service with automated traffic. We can suspend an account that does any of this, and refund the unused balance where nothing has been abused.
Minutes
The service is sold in minutes of live interview. A minute is a minute during which the microphone is open and audio is being transcribed; time spent reading, typing a follow-up or looking at a past session costs nothing.
Sessions are unlimited. Start as many as you like, of any length. Only recording time is counted, and each session is rounded up to the next whole minute when it ends.
Answers, follow-up predictions, speaker detection, translation and the feedback are included in a minute rather than billed separately. They are subject to fair rate limits sized so that no ordinary interview reaches them.
Prices, packs and subscriptions
Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Every plan is time-limited: the 7-day pass is activated the moment the payment is received and expires 7 days later, which is stated beside it before you buy, and a subscription runs for the period it was billed for. We no longer sell minutes that never expire. Subscriptions come in two tiers, Standard and Pro, each billed monthly or yearly. A subscription refills every month and can be cancelled in one click, at which point it stops at the end of the period already paid for. A yearly plan grants the same monthly allowance as the monthly one — it is billed once a year, not granted once a year — and is shown at its equivalent monthly price with the yearly total beside it. Sessions are unlimited on every plan — start as many interviews as you like, of any length, and only recording time is counted.
The free trial is a gift, not a purchase. It is capped per session, it can lapse, and it can be withdrawn from an account that abuses it.
We may change prices. A change never affects minutes already bought, and a subscription is told before its next renewal.
Refunds
A 7-day pass is activated as soon as it is paid for and is not refundable once activated. A subscription can be cancelled at any time, in one click, and is not refunded for the period already begun. Nothing here removes a refund right you have under the law where you live, and if something went wrong on our side — an outage, a session that did not work — write to us and we will put it right.
Availability
Autocue depends on services we do not control — transcription, model providers, payment and hosting. We work to keep it up and we do not promise it will be. If it is unavailable when you needed it, tell us and we will credit the minutes affected. That credit is the remedy for downtime.
Your content
Your interviews, your résumé, your notes and the answers generated for you are yours. You give us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to transmit that content to the transcription and model providers named in the privacy policy, and to store it so you can read it later. We claim no other rights and we do not use it to train models.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Autocue is provided as it is, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost opportunities, offers or earnings. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Ending it
You can stop at any time; delete your data from Account and write to us to close the account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will refund an unused balance unless the breach was of the acceptable-use section.
Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top changes with them, and a change that affects what you have already bought is announced in the app before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction — without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.
